3. Jesus Christ Created Everything
The following scriptures show us clearly that the one God who created us is Jesus:
(Read the context of John 1 and you will see that verse 10 is clearly speaking of Jesus)
John 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
(Read the context of Colossians 1 and you will see that verses 16 & 17 are clearly speaking of Jesus)
Colossians 1:16-17
For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
Pay close attention to this revelation of Jesus in the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ:
First let's look at verse 16 of Revelation chapter 22, it clearly declares that the one who is coming quickly, who is the Alpha and Omega, is Jesus.
Revelation 22:12-16
And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
Next in Chapter 1 we can see that the Alpha and Omega, which is to come, is the Almighty. Jesus is the Almighty!
Revelation 1:7-8
Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
Finally in chapter 4 we can clearly see that there is one throne (not three) in heaven and only one is upon the throne. And by what we discovered in chapters 22 and 1, we can conclude that in Revelation 4:8 the beast are worshiping Jesus. Jesus is the one on the throne! Now verse 11 is the one that shows us what the twenty-four elders are saying to Jesus on the throne. They are saying that he is the Creator!
Revelation 4:2 And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.
Revelation 4:4 And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.
Revelation 4:6 And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.
Revelation 4:8-9 And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.
And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,
Revelation 4:10-ll
The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,
Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
God made everything by Jesus:
Ephesians 3:9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
Hebrews 1:1-3
God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
What does that mean that God made the worlds by his Son?
The whole way through Genesis 1 God creates by speaking, by saying words:
And God said, Let there be light.....
And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters.....
And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place.....
And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit …...
And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night......
And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl.....
And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and ….
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: …...
Jesus is the Word made flesh (the Son) as stated in John 1:14 “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”
John 1:1-3
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God.
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
The word “Word” in John 1 is “logos” in the Greek. G3056 λόγος logos log'-os From G3004; something said (including the thought); by implication a topic (subject of discourse), also reasoning (the mental faculty) or motive; by extension a computation; specifically (with the article in John) the Divine Expression (that is, Christ): - account, cause, communication, X concerning, doctrine, fame, X have to do, intent, matter, mouth, preaching, question, reason, + reckon, remove, say (-ing), shew, X speaker, speech, talk, thing, + none of these things move me, tidings, treatise, utterance, word, work.
The Word was with God: His thought, reasoning, motive, computation, expression and utterance was with him.
The Word was God: His thought, reasoning, motive, computation, expression and utterance is him.
The Word was made flesh: His thought, reasoning, motive, computation, expression and utterance was now made visible through the Son of God, the flesh.
Jesus is the image of the invisible God as stated in Colossians 1:15.
Jesus is the express image of his person as stated in Hebrews 3:2.
We understand that Jesus is the thought, reasoning, motive, computation, expression and utterance of God made flesh, made visible as the express image of his person. So when it says that God made the worlds by his Son, we understand that when God said and created things, that it was the expression and utterance of God's thoughts and reasoning that brought them into existence. Which is who he is, which is who Jesus is.
By seeing the creation we have no excuse not to believe that there is a God!
Romans 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
